Realistic defensive training for responsible armed citizens.
Most firearms training takes place on a traditional shooting range, where targets are stationary, distances are known, and the environment is controlled. But what happens when you introduce doorways, hallways, unfamiliar rooms, other people, and decisions that aren't always straightforward?
Interior Conflict 1 takes responsible armed citizens beyond the traditional range and into MTAC's dedicated indoor training facility, where students learn to navigate structures, solve problems, and make informed decisions in an environment that more closely resembles the places they encounter in everyday life.
This two-day course emphasizes practical defensive skills, sound judgment, communication, and responsible weapon handling. Whether training with a handgun or rifle, students develop a systematic approach to navigating confined spaces and responding to changing circumstances.
Using non-lethal training ammunition (NLTA), students progress through hands-on exercises and realistic scenarios that challenge assumptions, reinforce fundamentals, and provide valuable insight into their own capabilities.
The goal isn't to turn civilians into tactical operators. It's to help responsible armed citizens better understand their abilities, recognize their limitations, and develop confidence through realistic training.

Training is primarily hands-on, with instruction and practical exercises conducted inside MTAC's dedicated indoor CQB facility.

Location: MTAC Indoor CQB Facility, Muncie, Indiana
Tuition: $600 per student
Included: NLTA ammunition and available NLTA weapon conversions for compatible training firearms
Class Size: Limited enrollment to maximize individual instruction and practical training opportunities
Prerequisites
This is an intermediate-level defensive firearms course, not an introductory shooting class.
Students must have prior firearms training or sufficient experience to safely and confidently operate their chosen handgun or rifle, including loading, unloading, manipulating safety controls where applicable, and maintaining proper muzzle and trigger discipline.
Students may be dismissed for unsafe weapon handling or for an inability to demonstrate the firearm-manipulation skills necessary for safe participation.
Who Can Attend
Interior Conflict 1 is open to responsible armed citizens and professionals.
No law enforcement or military background is required.
Enrollment is subject to MTAC's screening and approval process. Participants must be U.S. citizens or otherwise qualify under applicable U.S.-person requirements. Foreign nationals and representatives of foreign governments, military organizations, or law enforcement agencies require prior written approval from MTAC and any necessary U.S. Government authorization. Credentials and eligibility are subject to verification.
Required Equipment
Handgun with a compatible holster or AR-15-style rifle with sling, suitable for MTAC's NLTA conversion systems
Belt and appropriate magazine pouches
Clear eye protection meeting ANSI Z87.1 standards
Long pants with pockets, long-sleeved shirt, and closed-toe shoes
Head, neck, and face protection with no exposed skin
Gloves with back-of-hand protection
Groin protection
Note-taking materials, snacks, and hydration
Two layers of loose-fitting clothing are recommended for NLTA exercises.
Handgun and Rifle Options: Students may participate with a handgun or rifle. MTAC has NLTA-converted Glock pistols and holsters available for student use, along with compatible rifle conversion systems. Ammunition is included.
