The MTAC Air Public Safety UAS Fly Day brings together law enforcement, fire, EMS, emergency management, and government UAS personnel for five hours of indoor flight, professional networking, and operational knowledge-sharing.
Participants will have access to MTAC’s 6,000-square-foot training house, where pilots can challenge their aircraft-control skills through rooms, hallways, doorways, obstacles, and other structural-navigation environments. The day will include open flight periods, structured flight rotations, opportunities to observe other pilots and platforms, and conversations about public-safety UAS operations, program development, training needs, and emerging technology.
This event is also open to verified agency representatives who are developing or evaluating a UAS program, even if they are not currently pilots.
Participants should bring:
An aircraft appropriate for indoor flight
Controller
Goggles or viewing equipment
Batteries
Battery charger and charging equipment
Spare parts and normal flight-support equipment
Charging periods and equipment-adjustment time will be incorporated throughout the event.
This is a professional Fly Day designed to connect public-safety UAS personnel and provide practical flight time in a challenging indoor environment. It is not a formal class, competition, certification course, or proficiency evaluation.

Non-flying agency representative: $25
Agency package: $125 for up to three attendees
Attendance is limited. Public-safety or government affiliation will be verified before participation.
