CQB Instructor Development

MTAC’s CQB Instructor Development 1 is the first of 2 courses focusing on the fundamentals and principles of CQB. The course focuses on the foundational building blocks of CQB, specifically the actions of a 4-man assault team to clear a multi-room, single-story structure, as well as the administrative knowledge required to execute CQB training as a team safely.

·      Center-Fed Rooms
·      Decision Making
·      Verbal & Non-verbal Communication
·      Developmental Training Plans
·      Shoothouse Setup & Target Zoning

Student Eligibility

Open to active law enforcement, government, and military personnel selected by their agency or team to provide CQB instruction.
Students should have an established foundation of CQB training and experience, practice CQB regularly, and possess a solid understanding of CQB principles. They should be able to exercise sound judgment and explain the reasoning behind their decisions. Those still developing this foundation should complete additional student-level training and gain experience before attending. Prior completion of a separate instructor-development course is not required.
Participants must be U.S. citizens or hold other qualifying U.S.-person status. Foreign nationals and representatives of foreign governments, military organizations, or law enforcement agencies may not attend without prior written approval from MTAC and any required U.S. Government authorization. Credentials and eligibility are subject to verification.

Required equipment:
Clear eye protection meeting ANSI Z87.1, belt, pants with pockets, no open-toed shoes, snacks, hydration, and a positive attitude. Note-taking materials, NLTA (Sims/UTM/FX) converted rifle, NLTA converted handgun, full kit, minimum 3 rifle magazines, minimum 2 handgun magazines. 900 rounds of 5.56 NLTA, 250 rounds of 9mm NLTA. UTM Glocks and Rifle conversions are available to attendees.
