A New Perspective on Training

For more than a decade, MTAC has been committed to one mission: developing capability through structured, realistic, and purpose-driven training. Whether that has been in firearms, tactical operations, leadership, or scenario-based decision-making, our philosophy has remained unchanged.

Capability isn't just learned. It is developed through repetition, application, and continuous improvement.

That same philosophy is now taking flight.

Over the past several months, we've been exploring a new way to utilize our Muncie training facility. While our shoot house has long been used to develop movement, communication, and decision-making for public safety professionals, we began asking a simple question:

What if we viewed the same environment from an entirely different perspective?

The answer led us into the rapidly evolving world of remote aviation.

Not simply flying drones.

Developing pilots.

Building a Community

Our vision isn't to create another place where people can simply fly. We want to build a community where remote pilots can practice, learn from one another, challenge themselves, and develop real capability in a structured environment.

Whether your interests are recreational flying, FPV, public safety, commercial operations, or simply becoming a better pilot, there is tremendous value in flying with purpose.

Our facility provides something few environments can offer: the opportunity to navigate realistic indoor spaces while developing precision, situational awareness, and confidence in a controlled setting.

Structural Navigation

One of the first concepts we'll be introducing is Structural Navigation.

Think of it as learning to understand and move through complex environments with precision and intent. It emphasizes aircraft control, orientation, obstacle awareness, smooth maneuvering, and decision-making rather than simply accumulating flight time.

It's not about flying faster.

It's about flying better.

Introducing MTAC Fly Days

As this initiative develops, we'll begin hosting MTAC Fly Days.

These events are designed to bring together the remote pilot community for an enjoyable day of flying, learning, collaboration, and skill development.

Depending on the day, participants may have opportunities to:

  • Practice structural navigation in our indoor training facility.

  • Fly through structured courses and challenges.

  • Learn new techniques from experienced instructors.

  • Meet other pilots and share ideas.

  • Explore different aspects of remote aviation in a safe and controlled environment.

Whether you're brand new to remote aviation or have hundreds of hours behind the controls, our goal is to create an environment where everyone leaves a little more capable than when they arrived.

Looking Ahead

This is only the beginning.

Remote aviation continues to evolve at an incredible pace, creating new opportunities across public safety, commercial industry, agriculture, infrastructure, emergency response, and countless other fields.

We're excited to become part of that journey.

Over the coming weeks, we'll share more information about upcoming Fly Days, educational opportunities, and new ways to get involved.

If you've ever wanted to sharpen your skills, meet other remote pilots, or experience a unique training environment, we think you're going to enjoy what's coming next.

Stay tuned.

The next chapter of MTAC is taking flight.
